SEC Reporting Analyst job at Robert Half. Glendale, CA.

We are looking for an experienced SEC Reporting Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role requires an individual with expertise in financial reporting and technical accounting, particularly in equity accounting and stock-based compensation. Responsibilities
  • Prepare, draft, and review SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Workiva to streamline the submission process for financial reports.
  • Conduct technical accounting work related to equity accounting, stock-based compensation, and options.
  • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements and standards in all reporting activities.
  • Perform thorough audits of financial data to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data to support sound decision‑making.
  • Provide guidance and support to the financial reporting and technical accounting teams.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Identify and address reporting discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for all reporting processes and technical accounting tasks.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
  • Proficiency in equity accounting, stock‑based compensation, and options.
  • Strong knowledge of Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting financial audits.
  • Familiarity with Workiva or similar financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information.
