Financial Director

About the Role

The Director of Finance position will work with various fiscal and operational functions for the Hospital’s overall budget, planning and analysis needs, in conjunction with the CFO of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. The Director will coordinate the annual budget process, work with hospital leaders to develop and meet operating budget targets, and provide financial analyses, proformas, and models to support operational plans.

The Director will also coordinate monthly reviews, accounting close, and provide key findings to the CFO of VHH. In partnership with the Supply Chain Team, Construction/Real Estate/Facilities, and System Finance, the Director will ensure accurate capital spend and cash flow projections. Together with the CFO, the Director will develop the long‑range plan with hospital leadership, System Strategy, and Decision Support.

The Director will serve as the key finance resource to hospital department leaders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (or 10 years of experience)

• 5 years of hands‑on related hospital/healthcare budgeting and financial analysis.
• Hands‑on experience preparing and analyzing acute care hospital budgets and developing proformas; strong understanding of acute care Hospital Decision Support.
• Experience as an experienced manager with the skills and ability to function independently.
