Job Summary:

Disney Entertainment (DE) is a global business segment for The Walt Disney Company responsible for the monetization of content, including distribution and ad sales, and the operations of the Company’s entertainment streaming services, domestic entertainment broadcast and cable networks, and theatrical distribution.

The DE Games Finance team supports Disney Games and Digital Entertainment, partnering with business leaders across Disney Games Group, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, 20th Century Games, Disney/Pixar Games, strategy, business development, product, creative, technology, accounting, and DE Segment FP&A. The team supports a high-margin licensing business with a robust slate of mobile, console, PC, as well as the strategic partnership with Epic Games to build the virtual Disney Universe.

The team is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, long-range planning, title-level analysis, management reporting, and executive-ready storytelling for the games portfolio. This includes supporting the evolution of Disney’s core games licensing business and emerging strategic initiatives, while helping leadership understand performance, risks, opportunities, and investment trade-offs.

Job Summary

DE Games Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who can translate complex games data, title-level economics, and partner assumptions into clear financial insights that support nimble decision‑making. This role will provide FP&A support across AOP, forecasts, long‑range planning, close, reporting, and ad hoc strategic analysis for Disney’s games portfolio.

  • Support planning, forecasting, and reporting for games revenue, operating income, cash flow, royalties/participations, external product development, marketing, labor, overhead, and other key P&L drivers.
  • Build and maintain title‑level and portfolio‑level financial models across mobile, console, PC, and emerging ecosystem opportunities.
  • Update and maintain the Disney Universe financial model, helping the team evaluate the financial impact of key assumptions, deal terms, and commercial levers
  • Prepare variance analysis, KPI reporting, and concise financial commentary for business partners, DE Segment FP&A, and senior leadership.
  • Partner with Games business development, strategy, creative/product, accounting, and regional finance teams to understand assumptions, release timing, partner reporting, deal economics, and risks/opportunities.
  • Assist with consolidation of AOP, forecasts, and long‑range plans, including roll‑forward analysis, scenario modeling, and executive presentation materials.
  • Support process improvement and reporting automation using Excel, Power BI, Cognos/TM1, and related planning tools.
  • Engage in ad hoc analysis for senior leadership, including title performance, deal support, return analysis, and portfolio prioritization.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail‑oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment where release timing, partner assumptions, market dynamics, and strategic priorities can evolve quickly.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role
  • Games P&L planning, forecasting, and long‑range planning, including title‑level revenue, OI, cash flow, royalties/participations, external PD/marketing, labor, overhead, and variance analysis
  • Management reporting and executive‑ready analysis, including monthly/quarterly reporting, KPI tracking, deck support, and concise financial commentary for leadership
  • Consolidation support across DE Games Finance, DE Segment FP&A, accounting, regional finance, and business partners, including forecast submissions and planning tool / Cognos‑TM1 support
  • Ad hoc projects, deal and slate analysis, scenario modeling, reporting automation, and FP&A process improvement
Required Education, Experience / Skills / Training
  • 3+ years of finance, accounting, strategic planning, or FP&A experience; media, entertainment, games, licensing, technology, or consumer products experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
