Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy and supportive biologic therapies, manage infusion therapies, and monitor for acute and delayed toxicities.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, manage symptoms, adjust care plans in collaboration with oncologists and pharmacists, and provide education to patients and families on treatment expectations, IV access, infection prevention, nutrition, and self‑care strategies.
- Coordinate discharge planning, referrals, and follow‑up appointments, ensuring continuity of care and seamless communication across the care team.
- Document, adhere to oncologic protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary rounds, collaborate with social workers to address psychosocial needs, and engage in evidence‑based practice that supports personalized treatment decisions.
