Assistant​/Associate​/Full Professor of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy

Overview

The USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California is seeking tenure‑eligible faculty at the rank of Full Professor or Associate Professor. The Chan Division is a dynamic, diverse, innovative, and internationally recognized academic community with ongoing externally funded research programs. We are seeking applicants who will contribute to our mission of leading innovation in research, education, and practice and who have a strong track record of funded research and scholarship.

Candidates should be prepared to contribute to predoctoral, doctoral, and postdoctoral education and to lead innovative, interdisciplinary research collaborations that translate knowledge to health and societal impact.

Candidates should demonstrate commitments to mentorship, grantsmanship, collaborative/team science, and dissemination. Preference will be given to scholars with expertise in aging and Alzheimer’s disease, health services research, mental health, spinal cord injury, neurorehabilitation, clinical intervention research, occupational science, health equity/social justice, and disability studies.

• Establish and sustain an externally funded program of high-impact research within occupational science or occupational therapy.
• Lead, participate in, and collaborate within interdisciplinary research teams; mentor students and junior colleagues; drive knowledge translation to health or societal outcomes.
• Contribute to education across levels (predoctoral, doctoral, and postdoctoral) and foster an inclusive, innovative learning environment.
• Engage in scholarly dissemination and dissemination of findings through manuscripts, presentations, and other scholarly activities.

• Doctoral degree or equivalent (e.g., PhD, ScD) in an area applicable to occupational science or occupational therapy.
• Ability to articulate existing and potential contributions to the fields of occupational science and/or occupational therapy.
• A strong record of funded research and scholarly excellence.

The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $170,000. Offer considerations include scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, applicable laws, grant funding, and market factors.
