Job Summary

The Lead Data Scientist will use machine learning, generative AI, and data-driven insights to drive financial planning, optimize spend, and inform strategic decision-making across the Finance organization. This role impacts critical financial decisions, helping shape how the company forecasts, plans, and allocates resources  offers a unique opportunity to blend GenAI with strategic financial thinking and collaborate with top executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and generative AI solutions for financial planning.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to translate financial questions into rigorous data science problems.
  • Build machine learning systems from the ground up and design scalable data science infrastructure.
  • Strategically select the appropriate modeling approach (traditional ML, forecasting, optimization, or GenAI) and design experiments to evaluate them.
  • Deliver cutting‑edge expertise in forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization.
  • Transform model outputs into actionable, executive‑ready business recommendations.
  • Champion long‑term strategic projects to improve financial planning and operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy models into production with scalability and performance.
  • Mentor data scientists and elevate the technical bar across the team.
  • Invent bold solutions to current and future business problems.
Requirements Experience & Education
  • 8+ years of experience as a data scientist developing predictive business models.
  • At least 5 years of experience in time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and/or optimization.
  • MS/Ph.D in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline.
Technical Skills
  • Core Stack:
    Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; deep expertise in PyTorch, Transformers, scikit‑learn, XGBoost/Light

    GBM, scipy, and stats models.
  • Forecasting & Optimization:
    Proven experience building and deploying forecasting and resource‑constrained optimization models in production.
  • Generative AI & Agents:
    Experience applying GenAI to business problems, building Agentic Workflows, and implementing RAG architectures.
  • Statistical Rigor:
    Strong foundation in hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference.
  • Cloud Infrastructure:
    Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure (Azure AI Studio, Foundry).
  • Preferred:
    Experience supporting Finance/FP&A functions and deploying MCPs.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to finance and executive stakeholders.
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for practical business outcomes.
  • Business acumen to combine model results with financial understanding.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range

$185,300 USD - $247,800 USD (Base Salary for US based candidates)

Note:

Total compensation includes annual bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual range may vary based on location.
