We are looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing Education business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice, working closely with Education Technology companies. The role focuses on helping customers design and implement innovative cloud computing solutions using the latest AWS technologies. You will own technical engagements, design architectures, and act as a subject‑matter expert on security and application services on AWS.
The responsibilities include:
- Owning the technical engagement and ensuring project success.
- Defining and designing AWS‑based architectures.
- Developing deep expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Front, Bedrock, Sage Maker, and EKS.
- Providing expert advice on security for customer applications.
- Leading technical design and thought leadership for the EdTech markets.
- Capturing and sharing best‑practice knowledge within the AWS solution‑architect community.
- Collaborating with a world‑class sales and business development team.
The team mission is to be the best technology enabler for EdTech ISVs, guiding them through business and technology strategy and the use of AWS services. We are an exciting, diverse group of Solution Architects helping EdTech companies serve their end customers.
Basic Qualifications8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics; 3+ years designing, implementing, or consulting applications and infrastructures; 10+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting; experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
Preferred Qualifications5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience; experience working with end‑user or developer communities; knowledge of software development tools and methodologies; ability to travel 30%.
