We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced Criminal Defense environment and takes pride in seeing cases through from intake to successful closure. This is an opportunity to work closely with a dedicated attorney who values efficiency, professionalism, and strong client relationships.
We are not just looking for administrative support — we are looking for a key team member who understands the importance of case strategy, client communication, and ensuring every matter is handled with precision and care.
What You’ll Do- Manage cases from intake through trial and final resolution
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Assist in trial preparation and attend court proceedings as needed
- Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony
- Conduct investigations and research to support case development
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Track deadlines, manage calendars, and ensure procedural compliance
- Support smooth case closures with complete documentation and organized follow-up
- Contribute to client satisfaction and retention through professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail
- 1–2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in Criminal Defense
- Strong understanding of criminal court procedures and legal protocols
- Proven ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines
- Experience supporting cases through final closure
- Client-focused mindset with strong communication skills that contribute to client retention
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office
- Legal Assistant certification or diploma preferred
- Direct collaboration with the attorney
- Meaningful involvement in criminal defense cases

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay rate: 22/hr DOE
