The Role: In this position, you’ll be responsible for leading the marketing and business development efforts. This role works closely with the Partners and Office Manager to establish, implement, and execute business objectives. This role is for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated marketing professional who possesses both creative and business skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP & MARKETING DIRECTION
- Develop and execute comprehensive Business‑to‑Business (B2B) marketing and business development strategies aligned with firm‑wide growth objectives and priorities
- Partner with Firm leadership to translate strategic goals into measurable marketing initiatives that enhance visibility, client engagement, and revenue generation.
- Continuously monitor marketing, business development, and legal industry trends to ensure the Firm remains competitive and positioned for long‑term growth.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement data‑driven recommendations to optimize results.
- Oversee tasks delegated to the Administrative Coordinator as needed, while providing guidance and mentorship to support professional development.
BRAND POSITIONING
- Collaborate with Partners to develop targeted business development plans that strengthen the Firm’s reputation within specialized industries and niche markets.
- Lead brand awareness initiatives through advertising, digital presence, and strategic messaging that further the Firm’s mission and reputation.
- Identify and secure strategic networking, sponsorship, and speaking opportunities to promote attorney profiles and expand the Firm’s professional footprint.
CONTENT STRATEGY & CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS
- Oversee and manage content strategy across all platforms, including the Firm website, blogs, Linked In, and other professional networks.
- Coordinate with attorneys to develop, edit, and publish thought leadership content, legal updates, announcements, and client communications.
- Format, proofread, and coordinate the distribution of legal bulletins, SWM Lessons blog posts, legal updates, firm‑wide communications (including SWM Shorts), mass client communications, and email marketing campaigns, ensuring accuracy, clarity, professionalism, and consistent brand standards across all materials.
- Oversee updates to attorney biographies and profiles to ensure accuracy, strategic positioning, and consistency across platforms.
- Manage and coordinate submissions for legal rankings and awards, including Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers.
EVENTS, CONFERENCES & EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING
- Strategically plan, host, and produce the Firm’s annual two‑day legal updates seminar, overseeing all programming, logistics, vendors, communications, and execution.
- Organize and manage internal and external events, including annual seminars, quarterly webinars, client trainings, podcast sessions, team‑building initiatives, holiday party, and sponsored conferences.
- Coordinate attorney participation in industry conferences, speaking engagements, and networking events, including travel arrangements, scheduling, and on‑site logistics.
