Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Coordinator - Professional Expert

Glendale Community College is currently accepting applications for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Coordinator Professional Expert
.

  • Provides support in managing both the administrative and educational aspects of the program.
  • Provides operational and administrative support for the CNA program as needed, including training assistance, documentation review, compliance monitoring, and other related duties.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and courses.
  • Maintains accurate records of student attendance and performance; maintains records and databases according to program needs, licensing, accreditation requirements, and submits records as required.
  • Assists with the implementation of policies and procedures related to the instructional area in support of faculty and administration.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with community, business, and industry representatives.
  • Serves as a liaison between college programs and clinical agencies.
  • Supports clinical site activities as appropriate.
  • Participates in the recruitment of students and promotion of college programs.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in California.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience as a licensed vocational nurse or registered nurse, including at least one year providing care to chronically ill or elderly patients in settings such as hospitals, nursing facilities, home care, hospice, or long-term care.
  • Either:
  • One (1) year of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing educational programs;
  • or
  • 24 hours of approved continuing education courses in nursing education planning, to be completed within six months of employment and prior to teaching a certification program. Submit the 24-hour certificate with your application.
