Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery
Location: Glendale, CA
Agency: United Health Care Staffing, Inc.
Pay: $3,200 to $3,400 per week
Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

About the PositionTravel Nurse Source is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Glendale, California, 91201!
Position Details- Title: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN
- Location: Glendale
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: Every Other Weekend (4 shifts per 4 weeks)
- Employment Type: Contract
- L&D Beds: 10 beds + 2 OR suites
- Triage: 2 beds
- Postpartum: 18 beds
- Birth Volume: ~130 births per month
- EMR: Cerner
- Fetal Monitoring: OBIX
- L&D:
- 1:1 (active labor)
- 1:2 (general)
- Postpartum:
- 1:4 (couplets)
- Provide comprehensive care for laboring mothers and postpartum patients
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections (scrub, circulate, and recovery required)
- Monitor fetal heart tracings using OBIX system
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT and pharmacy (24/7 support)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Active RN License (California) – Required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP – Required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) – Required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience (travel experience preferred)
- Strong experience with C-section procedures (scrub, circulate, recover)
- Charge Nurse:
Shared between L&D and Postpartum - Support Staff:
Scrub techs available in L&D - RT & Pharmacy:
Available 24/7 - No IV team
- Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts in a 4-week period
- Call Requirement:
None - Holidays: 1 major + 1 minor required
- Floating:
Primarily L&D to Postpartum (based on need) - Orientation: 3 shifts
- Scrubs:
Provided
- Deliveries from 23 weeks and above
- Mix of low to high-risk pregnancies
- Conditions include:
- Antepartum complications
- Hypertension
- High-risk cases (transferred if needed)
- Supported by perinatology services
- High-volume, fast-paced unit with strong clinical exposure
