Position Overview
The GI Lab Technician works under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and assists with patient care during gastrointestinal procedures. The technician provides scrub assistance during operative/GI procedures under the supervision of the physician and circulating nurse, and performs technical duties for assigned areas, including proper care, handling, decontamination, and high level disinfection of equipment according to defined procedures.
Location:
USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Foothills area of Los Angeles.
- Provide scrub assistance during operative/GI procedures under physician and circulating nurse supervision.
- Perform technical duties in assigned areas.
- Care for, handle, decontaminate, and high level disinfect equipment according to defined procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a GI Lab preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work under supervision of Registered Nurse, physician, and circulating nurse.
The hourly rate range for this position is $29.86–$38.64.
