• Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor patient status, assess needs, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and document observations accurately.
• Develop and update care plans, coordinate care with obstetricians, nurses, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and other disciplines; use critical thinking and professional judgment in care delivery.
• Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed staff on the unit; advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, treatments, and post-discharge care; participate in discharge planning when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure effective communication within the interdisciplinary team.

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and current licensure
• BLS certification; obstetric/gynecology experience preferred
• 1 year of RN experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, or inpatient obstetric care preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a travel assignment
• Eligibility to meet health and background screening requirements for travel assignments
