- Deliver coordinated nursing care for labor and delivery patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Monitor fetal status, assist with labor and delivery, and support postpartum care per protocol; administer medications and interventions as ordered
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatal staff, and support services
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes
- Educate patients and families on pregnancy, labor, postpartum care, and lactation support; provide emotional and psychosocial support as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and unit policies; participate in quality improvement activities
- Ability to deliver nursing care in a labor and delivery setting following established standards of care and the nursing process
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making skills
- Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts in a travel assignment; ability to adapt to a fast-paced obstetric environment
- Ability to work in the Glendale, California area and meet assignment requirements
