Greets and directs visitors. Prepares and maintains medical records. Responds to patient requests for assistance. Provides information to patients, families, and physicians. Provides other clerical support to nursing team as required. Uses organizational skills to keep unit running smoothly and uses prioritization skills to meet deadlines as indicated.
Job Requirements- High School Education/GED or equivalent:
Preferred - Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience:
Preferred - Two years' relevant experience:
Preferred - One year's experience in a hospital or medical office setting:

- Unit Secretary training course:
Preferred - Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy:

- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A:
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:

- Processes orders and assists unit visitors and callers. Ascertains flow of patients admission/transfers. Assists in scheduling patient procedures and assembling patient charts. Refers patients requiring services to outside facilities.
- Performs data collection and maintains data on an ongoing basis. Collects data and performs audits. Ascertains flow of patients admission/transfers. Assists in scheduling patient procedures. Assembles charts.
- Participates in regulatory environmental compliance duties, clearing hallways and calling for equipment/pick-up as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay Range :
The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $29.56. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
