Description:
This position is for a Cath Lab RN in a mixed lab setting.
The RN will work in an environment that performs both Cath Lab and IR procedures.
Procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, EP studies, pacemakers, defibrillators, and various IR procedures such as PICC line placements and stroke interventions.
The RN will be responsible for procedure setup, circulating procedures, administering sedation, and monitoring patients throughout their procedures.
Hemodynamic monitoring will be conducted in an adjacent control room, with visibility to the patient.
The RN must be comfortable moving between the procedure room and the control room.
The Cath/IR lab functions as a three-person team, requiring the RN to provide procedural sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
Evening call is required 1-2 times per week, starting after the daytime shift ends.
Weekend call requirements include 1-2 weekends per month, with a 24-hour call duration.
Holiday call requirements include one major holiday and one minor holiday.
A minimum response time of 30 minutes is expected for call situations.
Onboarding includes time with another RN, with inclusion into the call rotation occurring after the third week.
Familiarity with Cerner EMR is required.
