Dr. Yong (Tiger) Zhang’s laboratory of the Department of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Sciences at USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate to conduct research on protein post‑translational modifications, antibody engineering, and preclinical design of chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic agents to treat cancer, immune disorders, and infectious diseases.

• Conduct research on protein post‑translational modifications, antibody engineering, and preclinical design of chemotherapy and immunotherapy agents.
• Design and execute organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry projects.
• Manage cell culture, protein expression, and purification processes.

Highly self‑motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong background in chemistry or chemical biology is preferred. Research experience in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry is required. Knowledge of cell culturing and protein expression and purification is a plus.

Minimum Education
:
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Preferred Experience
:
Synthetic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences experience.

The annual salary for this position is $70,304.
