Description
The service deli counter clerk is an important position within the store. Many customers make their decisions to shop at our store because of the quality of the perishable departments and specifically the quality of the product that we make available to them. This position is responsible for creating an appealing presentation of the tremendous variety and selection of meats, cheeses, and salads that we offer.
The product must be fresh -- Looks good, smells right - no bad odors; with just the proper feel and firmness for the product, sounds good (for example a crisp apple has a "snap" when you bite into it), and of course tastes great. The deli clerk can make the difference by the way he or she does their job.
We need to treat each individual like a guest in our home -- with courtesy, friendliness and the respect that they deserve.
Position Requirements
Able to read and write English with reasonable proficiency Good communication skills in English to be able to communicate with the customer and others Friendly and pleasant attitude Available in terms of scheduling hours Reliable, good work ethic, high integrity, and drug free Clean presentable appearance Good customer service skills Jon's Marketplace is a drug free workplace
