The Service Deli Clerk plays a vital role in our international grocery store, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and exceptional service. This position involves preparing, displaying, and maintaining a variety of deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and other specialty items. The Service Deli Clerk is responsible for creating an inviting and well‑organized deli counter that attracts customers and enhances their shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and display a wide range of deli products, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain an appealing and sanitary deli counter, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and excellent service.
- Slice, weigh, package, and label deli products accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed to ensure product availability.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Follow all store policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
