• Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
• Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact. Follow body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach.
• Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store, to solve issues and improve the experience.
• Thank the guest and express appreciation for shopping at Target.
• Know store sales goals and trends that impact business results.
• Work with HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs; understand guests’ needs and ensure the right mix of experience, selling capabilities, and product enthusiasm.
• Execute intentional recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire talent with the right skills and experiences.
• Support the training needs of the sales force and advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Act as an open door by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action.
• Deliver on all Human Resources operational and cyclical programs.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.
• Experience using basic Office Suite and workforce management programs.
• Knowledge of industry-leading people and scheduling software.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular attendance necessary.
