Summary of the PositionA1 Acts in a safe manner protecting each associate, customer, vendor and all other individuals with whom the person comes in contact from injury.

A2 Serves the customer in a friendly manner;

A4 Responsible for customer satisfaction, associate morale, and contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the night crew; while acting as a member of the total store team.

Task MeasurementA1 Punches in on Unitime clock as scheduled - ready, willing, and able to start work as scheduled

Ready, willing, and able to start work as scheduled;
Be on time for your shift;
Report to the Night Crew Chief;
Call at least four hours before shift if you are going to be absent or tardyA2 100% adherence to the Dress Code

All articles of clothing are clean and presentableA3 Be knowledgeable and able to perform each of the duties assigned

Continuous learning and improved capability to perform tasks and duties within the departmentA4 Observe all store rules and company policies

Smooth and efficient operations of the department and cooperation with all directions of the management teamA5 Observe all safety rules and regulations regarding use of equipment

No injuries to yourself, the customer, fellow associates, and anyone else who may be involved;
Know how to handle case cutters;
Be aware of the proper handling of cleaning solutions;
Know how to use the baler, fork lifts, pallet jacks, and compactorsA6 Practices safe procedures regarding lifting

Use the proper methods of lifting boxes and product to insure no injuries to yourself, the customer, fellow associates, and anyone else who may be involved;
Use the strength of your legs to lift boxes and not the muscles of your backA7 Stretch muscles before beginning work5 minutes of stretching and loosening up to prevent injuries;
Regular stretching should be done during the work shift to keep looseA8 Break down the load Take product off the pallet;
Place on a cart;
Move the cart to various locations in the aisle;
Cut open boxes using proper safety methods;
Put product on shelf neatly;
Faced;
With label facing forward;
Above the correct MSI Tag;
Above the appropriate hole and properly stockedA9 Dress down the aisle

Front the merchandise, pulling all product forward to the appropriate line so that the entire aisle looks full;
All labels faced forward;
All product must be placed above the correct panel;
No product in other holesA
10 Cutting the boxes

Blade faces away from you and into the box;
Cut around the boxA
11 Lifting boxes

Squat your legs down;
Use the strength of your legs to lift boxesA
12 Removes dead stock to the back room and asterisk the product

Put dead stock on cart, move to the back room in the appropriate place in the back room;
Correctly label product with asterisk (*)A13 Checks dead stock

Attempt to put dead stock on the shelfA
14 Works dead stock

Go to the back room, pull from cart, and load onto shelfA
15 Rotates product for safety and presentation

Old product in the front or bottom or nearest the customer;
New product in the back or on top or the farthest from the customer;
Product should be rotated or removed from the shelf and thrown into proper receptacle if it is out of code or out of date;
Product in neat symmetrical lines;
Product placed to create eye appeal; "Holes or Gaps" not filled in with other merchandise, but no gaps in the flow of the merchandise on the shelf.

17 Provides extraordinary customer service

Help locate items for the customers;
Go the extra mile even if it is not requested directly;
Give directions and store/ department locations;
Suggest added items for additional sales;
Suggest substitution;
Customize order when requested by the customer;

A18 Removes cardboard

Get rid of cardboard;
Go to the baler;
Put cardboard in the baler and compress;
When baler is full, make a baleA
19 Cleans the aisle

Pick up damages and spilled items, and removes them from the floor;
Also any excess debris and/or plasticA
20 Ad items full

Take special attention to fill all sale items with product;
Make the display look full and appealing to the customer;
All displays should be packed out so that it is stable and unlikely to fall on the customerA
21 Separates damages

Remove dented, torn, and damaged product and separate from good product;
Damaged product taken to the back room to the receiver for reclamationA
22 Clears the aisle at the end of the shift

Remove tables, carts, and pallets from the floor and put into appropriate place or back roomA
23 Checks in with Night Crew Chief at the end of the shift before leaving

Confirm completion of assignment as required before leaving the facilityA
