The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.25 - $26.25. The full pay range for this position per hour is $24.25 - $41.25

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position.

These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. ALL ABOUTASSETSPROTECTION

Assets Protection (AP) teams function tokeep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud to ensureproductisavailable for ourguest.

They alsobuild relationships inside and outside of Target,including store leadersandpublic safety officials,inclusive oflaw enforcement.

At Target,we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of an Assets Protection Specialist can provide you with theskills and experience of:
  • Using surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure while aiding in the reduction of shortage

  • Using Target’svideo surveillance systemtomonitorguests andidentifypotential theft risks

  • Implementing Target’s Assets Protection practices and routines to reduce and prevent shortage

  • Properly and effectively documenting cases

  • Identifying strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, and apprehension

As an Assets Protection Specialist,no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely include the following responsibilities:
  • Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:

  • Greet:

  • 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave

  • 4ft: greet the guest, smile andinitiatea warm, helpful interaction

  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you

  • Actively support team efforts andassistpeers in other areas whilemaintaininga positive and respectful attitude

  • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

  • Support total store sales, guestserviceandincrease profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available toourguestsby preventing and resolving theft

  • Resolve theft by using good judgement and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas while strictly adhering toAPpoliciesand procedures

  • Identify theft trends byleveragingtechnology,reporting and surveillance tactics

  • Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues

  • Understand and appropriatelyusevideosystemstomonitortheft activity

  • Respond to security incidents andsubmitappropriate documentation for all incidents followingAPpolicy and procedures

  • Promotea physical security and safety culture for our team members and guests by creating awareness and training safe and secure standards throughout the building

  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences

  • Work in a safe mannerat all times;comply withall safety policies,best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible

  • Maintain positive work relationships with public safety officials andlaw enforcement

  • Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent
