As an Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The candidate will be working on an electrical team for the majority of the work day, with the last few hours potentially working independently.
KeyResponsibilities
- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Get assigned a work truck at the start of each shift.
- Access the work order system.
- Replace ballasts.
- Resolve power issues on office equipment.
- Perform light troubleshooting.
- Walk through sites to check critical equipment.
- Able to diagnose wire diagrams.
- Able to perform light troubleshooting where needed.
- Able to perform lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Basic understanding of CMMS systems.
- Able to work on a computer, including Excel reports, completing projects, and answering emails.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school diploma preferred.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- California certified electrician recommended (not required).
- Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
- At least 4 years of job-related experience.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3 4 years of job-related experience.
- Must meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Overtime is applicable for this role.
- Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with Drug Screen required.
- Interview process: 1 round, virtual panel interview via Microsoft Teams.
