Job Summary
Our client a leading Media & Entertainment provider is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. This position is located in Glendale, California. This hands‑on engineering role involves developing mobile applications inside the Android ecosystem using Java/Kotlin. You will work with a cross‑functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Mobile/Web/Backend Engineers, and Content Creators to conceptualize and develop world‑class apps.
You will manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions, architect reusable solutions across all apps, and may lead others to solve complex problems and provide oversight to other software engineers.
- Contribute to a project or feature development.
- Use best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services.
- Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code for architectural improvements, user‑facing features, or defect fixes.
- Build solutions for problems of sizeable scope and complexity, successfully deployed to customers/users.
- Influence and drive software engineering best practices within the team.
- Analyze and optimize application code for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
- Operate as a resource to less experienced software engineers, creating an open learning environment for cross‑team knowledge sharing.
- Perform coding, pull‑request reviews, and write tests.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- 4+ years of hands‑on professional development experience with Android across all OS versions.
- Extensive experience with Java and Kotlin.
- Comfortable with 4 days onsite.
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented design patterns and concepts.
- Solid understanding of unit test frameworks and continuous integration systems.
- Solid understanding of architecture; assist Software Architects as necessary.
- Knowledge of the Android app development life cycle, including Google Play and Amazon App Store compliance policies and submission requirements.
- Ability to collaborate in a small, productive development team and work independently.
- Work well with minimal technical supervision and supplemental engineering support.
- Motivated self‑starter with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas and influence others through well‑reasoned explanations.

Glendale, California.
Hybrid (4 days onsite).
Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $62.00–$89.00 per hour (approximate; final compensation may vary based on factors such as background, knowledge, skills, and location).
