Senior Software Engineer – Business Operations, Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining tools, prototypes, and architectures that support high‑visibility projects across Disney’s media platforms.
Responsibilities- Design prototypes and tools that support Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology.
- Research and evaluate best approaches and architectures to solve unique and complex challenges faced by Disney’s businesses.
- Identify elegant solutions to complex and unique problems.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical fields.
- Hands‑on experience with machine learning methods and techniques.
- Experience building and maintaining production‑grade software.
Experience leveraging AI‑assisted development tools responsibly. - Experience with effective API integration and design.
- Demonstrated ownership throughout the software lifecycle.
- Experience with defensive application design and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent technical communication skills and attention to detail.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn.
- Experience with audio/video processing and analysis.
- Experience with real‑time updates and event‑driven architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as Kinesis, Dynamo, Elasti Cache, Lambda, S3, ECS, Aurora, and Bedrock.
- Experience with modern JavaScript/Type Script development for back‑end RESTful APIs and front‑end web applications.
- Experience with native mobile application development for iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin).
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch and Datadog.
- Workflow implementation centered on real‑time updates and event‑driven architectures.
Seattle, WA: $148,700 to $199,400 per year. Los Angeles, CA and Bristol, CT: $141,900 to $190,300 per year. Base pay is adjusted for internal equity and may vary by location, skills, and experience. Bonus or long‑term incentive units may be offered along with a full range of medical and financial benefits.
