Lead Software Engineer

. In this role, you will serve as a visionary technical leader driving the development of scalable, AI-powered platforms that support licensing financial operations and predictive analytics. , with a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days onsite per week in Glendale, CA

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of software solutions supporting licensing financial systems and AI-driven applications
• Build and implement LLM-powered solutions that drive real business outcomes by improving operational efficiency through automation or directly contributing to revenue growth through new or existing channels
• Architect scalable, cloud-native services that integrate seamlessly with internal and third-party financial platforms
• Partner cross-functionally with product, finance, and data science teams to define system requirements and deliver intelligent automation solutions
• Leverage machine learning and AI (including LLMs) to optimize licensing workflows, financial forecasting, and compliance monitoring
• Own the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design through coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
• Mentor and guide junior engineers while championing a culture of innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence
• Monitor emerging trends in AI, cloud development, and financial systems to inform architecture and strategic direction

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required;
  Master’s degree in a technology discipline is a plus
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including demonstrated leadership on complex, large-scale projects
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying LLM-powered solutions that solve real business problems. This is not a data engineering or AI documentation role; candidates must be able to architect and build solutions, not simply move data or use AI for code reviews
• Proficiency in both Java and Python is required
  ; candidates with a strong Java foundation who can grow their Python skills are encouraged to apply
• Proven background working with financial systems, licensing workflows, or royalty management platforms is a strong plus; openness to learning financial domain concepts is required
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipeline development
• Experience in media, entertainment, or digital content licensing environments is a plus
• Familiarity with financial compliance standards and audit processes preferred
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
