As a Dental Assistant/EDDA, you will be integral to providing high-quality dental care and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. Your core responsibilities will include chairside assisting in all procedures daily. Join our team to contribute to exceptional dental services in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrates superior knowledge of all doctor systems and assisting processes.
- Bringing Patients from check-in to the operatory
- Breaking down and setting up rooms prior to treatment.
- Preparing patients for procedures by getting x-rays, setting up instruments, reviewing health history and medications etc.
- Assist Doctor during procedures and exams.
- Complete detailed charts notes, by end of business day
- Fill out routing slip, accurately indicating all procedures performed, any prescriptions needed and enters accurate and complete treatment plans for review and presentation.
- Dismiss patient from chair and escort to front office for checkout
- Educate patients in oral care, practice procedures, exams, and procedures.
- Demonstrate superior knowledge of all equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Stock supplies and replenishment of treatment areas
- Cleaning, sterilization, maintaining and storage of instruments and equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms and staff break room areas.
- Helping other assistants with cleaning and sterilization when permitted
- Inspect, test and log autoclave systems and eye wash systems. Ensure weekly monitoring of autoclave systems via spore testing and other biological testing.
- Be kind, courteous, and respectful to all patients, staff, doctors, and others
- Be an active participant in staff meetings
- Perform tasks as assigned by the dentist or manager
- Take INITIATIVE to identify and execute ways to continually improve individual and practice performance
- Help others perform their tasks when overloaded or to otherwise increase the operational and emotional performance of the practice.
- Performs job duties with a positive attitude and dedication to working hard.
