Operations Director - Nuclear

We are working with a rapidly growing engineering and technology business operating in highly regulated, high-integrity environments, supporting complex programs across the energy sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Division Director to lead their Energy business unit.

This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for commercial, operational, and strategic performance, reporting directly to the COO.

• Own and lead the end-to-end performance of the Energy Division, including P&L, delivery, quality, and growth
• Oversee a portfolio of complex, engineered projects
  , ensuring excellence in cost, schedule, risk, and customer outcomes
• Act as Senior Project Manager on select high-visibility or strategic programs
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government bodies, national laboratories, utilities, and major energy developers
• Drive scalable execution systems
  , strong PMO discipline, and a high-performance, safety-focused culture

• 12+ years’ leadership experience in nuclear, energy, or similarly regulated industries
• Proven ownership of business unit P&L, forecasting, margin management, and growth
• Strong background in project portfolio management
  , EVMS, and commercial delivery
• Experience operating in regulated environments with rigorous quality and safety requirements
• Confident executive presence with the ability to engage credibly at board, customer, and regulator level

• Engineering or technical degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred
• PMP, PE, or equivalent certification highly desirable
• Will involve regular senior stakeholder engagement and some travel
• Due to the nature of the work,
