Terra Slate is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive company-wide revenue generation. In this player-coach role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the sales team, ensuring accountability, performance excellence, and motivation. This position combines leadership with hands-on sales initiatives, including managing key accounts and identifying opportunities for growth by exploring and acquiring customers in new verticals.

Outcomes
- Drive revenue growth by managing the sales team's performance, overseeing key accounts, and expanding into new vertical markets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals to ensure consistent growth and market success.
- Generate and qualify leads through targeted prospecting efforts, leveraging tools such as marketing campaigns, trade shows, and email outreach.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners to ensure retention and growth opportunities.
- Identify and penetrate new markets while implementing initiatives to drive market development and expand the customer base.
- Lead go-to-market efforts for new product launches, engaging both existing clients and prospective customers in emerging verticals.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to enhance customer satisfaction, align strategies, and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing day-to-day oversight, coaching, and support to ensure accountability, achieve sales targets, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to align marketing efforts with sales initiatives, ensuring high ROI and measurable revenue impact.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of sales strategies, providing insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and recommend actionable adjustments to pricing, products, or approaches.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events nationwide, building relationships and expanding the customer base in new verticals.
- Balance leadership responsibilities with personal sales goals in a player-coach role, directly contributing to revenue generation while driving team success.
- Take a hands-on approach to managing major accounts and securing new business in emerging markets to meet weekly and long-term revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing and developing sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve personal and team sales targets while driving overall revenue growth.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in sales tools and platforms; experience with Hub Spot, Shopify, and Air Call is a strong plus.
