Role Overview The Senior Associate Sales Specialist, Emerging Technologies independently identifies and drives Emerging Technologies sales opportunities, including new business, upsell, and cross sell motions. The role partners closely with Account Executives (AEs) and Account Representatives (ARs) to support co selling efforts, bringing deep product expertise, strategic planning capabilities, and advanced storytelling to influence customer outcomes. Success in this role requires strong technical acumen, customization proficiency, partner engagement skills, and the ability to negotiate confidently to drive revenue growth.________________________________________Key
Responsibilities Emerging Technologies Sales
• Independently identify and drive new, upsell, and cross sell opportunities across Emerging Technologies portfolios.
Support Expansion Sales
• Collaborate with AEs and ARs in co selling motions to expand Emerging Technologies adoption within existing accounts.
Product Specialization
• Provide in depth product expertise across solution groups such as Fusion, Water, and Construction.
Strategic Sales Planning
• Build and execute strategies to grow new revenue streams and scale adoption of Emerging Technologies across customer personas.
Competitive Positioning
• Position Emerging Technologies as market leading solutions by articulating Autodesk’s unique value and solving customer business challenges.
Forecasting & Reporting
• Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide clear reporting on pipeline and opportunity progression for Emerging Technologies.________________________________________Skills & Competencies
• Product Expertise:
Strong command of product features, POCs, use cases, customizations, and business outcomes.
• Technical Acumen:
Ability to perform basic customization requests and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
• Strategic Planning:
Independently builds and executes growth strategies for new business lines and customer personas.
• Value Discovery:
Leads value and ROI discussions throughout the sales motion.
• Sales Growth:
Drives Emerging Technologies revenue by identifying and closing sales opportunities.
• Storytelling & Persuasion:
Utilizes advanced storytelling and pricing/packaging knowledge to influence decision makers.
• Negotiation:
Negotiates directly with customers and supports AEs/ARs in complex negotiations.________________________________________ATU Collaboration
• Bring in technical specialists to advance opportunities through pipeline stages.
• Support AEs, ARs, and Account Technical Leads with Emerging Technologies expertise to execute account plans.
• Enable partners on new Emerging Technologies; hand off closed sales for renewal management.________________________________________Required Qualifications
• 2–4 years of experience in sales, technical sales, pre sales, sales engineering, product specialist roles, or related fields within a software/SaaS organization.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive new, upsell, and cross sell opportunities independently.
• Experience engaging directly with customers to articulate product value, ROI, and technical capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional sales teams (AEs, ARs, technical specialists, partners).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and storytelling skills.
• Experience working with CRM systems for pipeline management and forecasting.________________________________________Preferred Qualifications
• Hands on experience with Emerging Technologies such as Fusion, Water, Construction, or similar product categories.
• Experience performing product customizations or working alongside technical specialists.
• Background in value based selling, ROI framing, or competitive differentiation.
• Experience working in partner ecosystems or supporting partner led sales motions.
• Familiarity with Autodesk’s pricing, packaging, or business models.
