Montrose, near Delta, CO.
The Process Mechanical Pipefitter will be assisting other skilled trade workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various piping systems.
Responsibilities- Perform any combination of the following tasks: install process pipe, valves & fittings including ductile iron, PVC, steel and HDPE; install complex process equipment; grade trenches or culverts; position pipe; or seal joints.
- Participate in system testing, startup and commissioning.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public always.
- Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements needed for working in and around pipe trenches.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be capable of lifting heavy objects, shoveling, and grading pipe trenches.
2-3 years of construction experience preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, maintenance, and the ability to determine the appropriate tool needed to do the job
- Good communication skills to follow instructions and communicate with team members
- Compensation: $30-$35 per hour, based on experience
