In This Role, You Will empower students to discover their potential and pursue excellence—academically, personally, and spiritually—through high-quality teaching and authentic care. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator with a deep understanding of content areas, capable of inspiring students, and committed to urban education in a high-performing staff. Candidates should be organized, detail oriented, and skilled at developing lesson plans.

Academics
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality instruction in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and other subjects as assigned
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs, including small-group and individual support
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress; use assessment data to inform instruction
  • Possess a general understanding of academic standards and utilize student assessment data to inform instruction and support improved learning outcomes
Classroom Environment and Student Relationships
  • Seek opportunities to integrate Biblical truth with lessons
  • Integrate character education and faith-based values into daily lessons
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Manage classroom behavior in a consistent and effective manner, promoting courage, respect, integrity, and perseverance through positive relationships with students
  • Serve as the cultural and spiritual model for students, interacting respectfully and demonstrating God’s love
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, behavior, and needs
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information
