SummaryResponsible for actively promoting and selling North Shore Bank products and services. Acts as the Bank's personal representative with its customers, providing efficient, accurate and friendly service; builds strong relationships between the customer and the Bank. Some Tellers are assigned as Area Tellers and support multiple branch locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Service / Sales- Consistently perform North Shore Bank Quality of Services standards with both external and internal customers that meet expectations and promote customer willingness to keep, expand and refer banking relationships.
- Engage customers in meaningful conversations and ask questions to identify cross‑selling opportunities; make appropriate referrals to branch personnel and partners to meet goals set by Branch Administration.
- Use the customer relationship management tool to record referrals and update customer contacts.
- Receive and answer questions from prospects or customers, maintain good customer relations, and direct customers to proper employees for complex problems. Follow up to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Make outbound telephone calls as directed by branch management for service and sales opportunities.
- Perform deposit account maintenance; respond to customers promptly and courteously; ensure required forms are completed accurately and that the customer fully understands terms and conditions; ensure proper disclosures are received.
- Keep current with products, services, and promotions.
- Actively participate in sales, product knowledge, and service meetings, including monthly sales planning sessions and completing monthly plans to achieve individual goals set by management.
- Provide timely follow‑up to clients by telephone, written correspondence, or personal contact.
- Serve the customer in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner through prompt and accurate handling of all teller transactions; monitor own work for quality and quantity.
- Accurately maintain and protect a cash drawer, balance transactions daily, reconcile errors/discrepancies and report variances to a supervisor.
- Accurately follow bank procedures for scanning and submitting teller work.
- Keep current with Security Alerts and all policy updates.
- Assist with daily operations and fixed activities in collaboration with Lead Teller or perform duties in the absence of a Lead Teller. May perform open/close branch duties and any other operational duties as assigned.
- May be required to complete customer files, documentation, and paperwork; provide documentation support to all branch areas.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related experience is required. Related experience includes a combination of cash handling, direct customer service, and retail or other sales. Must have availability to work on Saturdays.
Position starts at $17/hr doe.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
