Role Overview
  • Candidate must have supervisory experience and an ability to logistically manage team movement.
  • Candidate must be a self‑starter and be willing to drive long distances.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Word and Excel.
  • Candidate must be capable of obtaining a class A CDL within 90 days of hiring.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Position manages 3 full‑time and 1 part‑time staff members.
Salary Statement

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life
  • Plan the work schedules based on priorities and deadlines for providing facility and maintenance services.
  • Identify resource needs, review needs with appropriate management staff and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Develop and recommend work rules and quality‑control processes impacting operations.
  • Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local safety‑related rules, regulations and policies and investigate accidents.
  • Prepare and maintain work reports such as work logs, timesheets and accident reports, etc.
  • Install, inspect, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, paint, carpet, appliances, mechanical and other related systems in all facility locations.
  • Inspect, operate and maintain heating, cooling and ventilation systems (including boiler systems) in all facility locations.
  • Provide equipment, procedural and systems training to new and existing employees to perform the requisite job skills. This may include conducting regular onsite facility and grounds maintenance safety training.
  • Responsible for administering the budget line items for maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain sufficient inventories of tools, parts and supplies to properly service the facility and grounds.
  • Order, prepare specifications and purchase supplies, equipment and contract work according to required purchasing and bidding procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Recruit, select, onboard and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.
  • Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback and evaluate the performance of employees. Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures.
