The Assistant Manager of Inventory & Receiving supports the day-to-day management of inventory control and inbound receiving operations within the Distribution Center. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting compliance and quality standards, and leading inventory and receiving associates. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels, improve processes, and ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support the development and execution of inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and timely system adjustments.
- Monitor inventory KPIs, analyze trends, and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee inventory, write-offs, aging, and month-end inventory reconciliation activities.
- Perform inventory-related financial reconciliations, including overage/shortage claims, reserves, and franchise settlements.
- Oversee inbound receiving operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure quality audits and validations are completed during receiving and elevate issues as needed.
- Serve as a liaison to Corporate Quality Assurance and support compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Oversee processing of vendor returns and third‑party warehouse inventory audits.
- Coordinate material flow, material identification, and order processing with internal teams.
- Utilize WMS and ERP systems to support inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, and documentation management.
- Support warehouse organization, cleanliness, safety initiatives, and equipment operation as needed.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising inventory and receiving associates.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, warehouse, or operations management.
- Experience working with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
