Minimum Qualifications
Field Inspector: A working knowledge of pipeline construction, EPA and FERC environmental requirements or welding inspection pertaining to API 1104 requirements, normally acquired through the completion of an associate's degree with a technical emphasis or equivalent experience. Salary: $34.54 – $42.22 per hour.
Field Inspector, Sr.: A working knowledge of pipeline construction, EPA and FERC environmental requirements or welding inspection pertaining to API 1104 requirements, normally acquired through the completion of an associate's degree with a technical emphasis or equivalent experience. Two years of experience in coating application and pipeline inspection or cathodic protection application and installation. Salary: $39.73 – $48.56 per hour.
Other Requirements- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber‑attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Subject to the Company’s DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.
- Required travel:
Extensive (50%+).
Additional Other Requirements:
Field Inspector:
Acquire AAMP Level I Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP) or equivalent within 2 years in the role.
Field Inspector:
Acquire certifications within first 3 years in the role:
Cathodic Protection (CP) Level I;
Accredited Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
Field Inspector, Sr.:
Accredited Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification; AMPP Level I Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP) or equivalent;
Obtain AMPP Level II Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP) within 1 year;
Industry recognized training on plug and ball valve commissioning within 1 year;
Successfully completed Cathodic Protection (CP) Level I;
Maintain Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Administrator and Asbestos Inspector Certifications;
Completion of FERC’s Environmental Review and Compliance for Natural Gas Facilities Training Seminar.
Field Inspector: AMPP Level II Certified Coatings Inspector;
Industry recognized training on plug and ball valve commissioning;
Completion of FERC’s Environmental Review and Compliance for Natural Gas Facilities Training Seminar;
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Administrator and Asbestos Inspector Certifications.
Field Inspector, Sr.: AMPP Level III Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP).
Job Responsibilities- Ensures weld mapping job completion maps are correctly documented with x‑ray numbers, welder , unique material number, and hydro‑test reports.
- Ensures pipe is correctly coated and ready to commission.
- Ensures pipeline valves are properly installed and commissioned.
- Provides direction to company and contract personnel related to construction activity environmental compliance, including erosion and sediment controls, spill response, asbestos management, and water discharges.
- Works with warehouse and purchasing personnel to ensure proper MTR labeling and documentation of received materials.
- Performs other tasks and special projects assigned.
