Location: On-site at GMC | 202 Prospect Dr, Glendive, MT 59330 | Respiratory Department
Employment Type: Full-time, Non-exempt, hourly (bi-weekly pay)
Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts | Rotating days/nights every 6 weeks | Rotating weekends & holidays

As a Respiratory Therapist at GMC, you'll work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and ancillary teams to support patients across the lifespan. Your work will directly impact individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including diagnostic cardiopulmonary services.
What You’ll Do- Assess and consult with Providers to develop and implement a care plan specific to the needs of the patient with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary diseases.
- Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy; monitor, record, and communicate outcomes to the Provider.
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing in outpatient settings.
- Inspect, test, and operate respiratory therapy equipment.
- Respond to Emergency codes and calls for immediate assistance.
- Maintain continuing education requirements set forth by the State of Montana Licensing Board.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- Successful completion of the NBRC CRT and/or RRT exam(s), or eligibility with completion within 18 months of hire.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association
- Recommended: ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain composed in stressful situations.
- Excellent time management and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
