Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech‑language pathology evaluations and swallow assessments for residents
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication, cognition, and swallowing safety
  • Provide direct therapy in individual and small‑group formats; document progress and adjust goals as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align care plans (nursing, therapy, physicians)
  • Manage feeding and swallowing interventions, including texture modification and safety for meals
  • Participate in discharge planning and family/caregiver education; maintain accurate documentation
Requirements
  • Active state license in Speech‑Language Pathology or eligible for licensure
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA CCC‑SLP preferred (or eligible for certification)
  • Experience providing SLP services in acute care or long‑term care settings; travel experience preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
