Superintendent
The Superintendent oversees daily construction activities on projects from start to completion, with a strong focus on safety, scheduling, and field coordination. This role leads on-site execution, manages subcontractors, and ensures projects are delivered according to plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct daily construction activities on-site from project start through completion.
- Plan and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures across the jobsite to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, site walks, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and plans to guide field execution.
- Coordinate field execution and on-site activities to ensure efficient construction sequences.
- Manage subcontractors, including scheduling, performance oversight, and coordination of trades.
- Maintain and update construction schedules, adjusting as needed to keep projects on track.
- Lead safety management efforts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Utilize project management tools such as Procore and Bluebeam for documentation, RFIs, and coordination.
- Support tenant improvement projects and ensure work meets quality and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate field documentation and reporting for project progress and issues.
- Coordinate field teams to ensure clear communication and alignment with project goals.
- Apply a deep understanding of construction sequences and building processes to resolve on-site challenges.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and proactively solve problems that arise in the field.
Essential
Skills:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with heavy focus on HCAI/OSHPD projects.
- Demonstrated HCAI/OSHPD experience and understanding of healthcare construction requirements.
- Proven ability to oversee daily construction activities on active jobsites through project completion.
- Strong capability to plan, manage, and maintain project schedules.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and related documents.
- Deep understanding of construction sequences and building processes.
- Experience in subcontractor management and field team coordination.
- Hands-on safety management experience, including enforcing safety policies and leading safety meetings.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with field teams and project stakeholders.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address and resolve on-site issues quickly.
- Proficiency with construction project management tools such as Procore.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for reviewing and marking up construction documents.
- Experience managing RFIs and field documentation within a project management system.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience with tenant improvement projects in occupied or sensitive environments.
- Experience in construction management or related field execution roles.
- Comfort working within healthcare-related regulatory frameworks such as HCAI/OSHPD.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate field documentation and reporting.
- Ability to lead and coordinate diverse field teams and subcontractors.
- Attention to detail when reviewing plans, schedules, and safety requirements.

Work Environment:

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr. Healthcare Vision Dental Vehicle Allowance
