Key Responsibilities- Core Function Development: Hire key personnel, build and operationalize the Sales & Marketing function to Generate revenue from new and existing markets and customers to maximize long term profit.
- Knowledge Capture: Capture and codify tacit know-how ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer and retention within the company, allowing repeatable and scalable training, expectations, execution and eliminating key-person risk.
- System Development: Build, manage, and continuously improve and integrate project deliverables into business systems to maximize business output vs a given resource input through the integration of people, technology, processes, procedures and automations.
- Market Pursuit: Identify, prioritize, position and exploit market, audience, channel & partnerships to maximize total profitability across highest yielding opportunities, including:
Shopify, Amazon & social media, influencer collaborations, etc. - Brand/Positioning: Craft, optimize, position and safeguard a compelling offer, attractive messaging and identity that resonates with target customers, enhancing trust and pricing power across digital and physical touchpoints including:
Landing pages, packaging, brochures, paid media, etc. - Lead & Sales Generation: Find, reach, attract, engage, inform, persuade, nurture and convert leads and customers into new and repeat buyers to maximise long-term profitability across digital advertising platforms including:
Amazon, Meta, Google, Tiktok, Youtube, Pinterest, etc. - Customer Success: Expand the customer base and its lifetime value through the optimization of experience, retention, and monetisation—with an emphasis on driving repeat purchases, referrals, cross-sell, up-sell, and positive ratings and reviews.
- Experience/Background:
- 3+ years – DTC Profit Accountability: You owned the levers that drive profitability and reported on profit metrics—not just ROAS—adjusting strategy to stay profitable.
- 3+ years – Leadership: Hired, coached, and performance-managed >5 roles across ≥3 disciplines (e.g., media buying, creative, CRO, etc.). Set KPIs/OKRs and ran review cadences.
- 2+ years – Paid Media Buying (Hands-On): Planned, launched, optimized, and scaled profitable campaigns with Meta plus at least one of the following platforms:
Google, Tik Tok, You Tube, Pinterest, or Amazon for cumulative 2+ years of experience. - Core Function Build: Stood up a core business function from scratch and scaled it to a working team of 5 or more people/partners, put the basic stack, KPIs, and SOPs in place, and made it run without you as the single point of failure.
- 2+ years cumulative in ≥ 2 areas – Cross-Functional Expertise:
- Biz Ops / Systems Design / Process & SOP Documentation
- Performance & KPI-OKR / Product / Program / Project / Change Management
- Procurement / Logistics / Manufacturing Operations
- Data Analytics / Engineering / Programming
- Legal / HR / Finance
- 1+ year - LLM Usage: Utilized any LLM model:
Chat GPT, Gemini, etc. in real business contexts applied to any of the Mandatory Experience/Background areas listed above.
