When you’re working in the deli department you’ll be on the front‑lines of customer service—your smile can make the difference between a good shopping experience and a great one.

- Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures and guidelines, including safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous material handling and steel standard guidelines
- Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer, cooler and deli area in accordance with company policies and procedures, handling claims and returns, zoning, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, completing required audits, paperwork, logs and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues and concerns and promoting the company’s products and services
- Follow company policies and procedures related to the freezer/cooler area, comply with food handling policies, operate, repair and sanitize equipment, follow cold chain procedures, clean the freezer/cooler/deli area—including windows, mirrors, display cases and coolers—monitor freezers and fans, drains and doors for proper operation, and report issues to management

SalaryThe hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
