Job OverviewMobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T‑Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and focus on customer needs while learning the latest technology. They will work with their team to develop skills and prepare for promotion to Mobile Expert.
New associates are required to successfully complete new employee training.
- Build proficiency related to serving and selling to customers, providing world‑class customer experience and loyalty by helping customers continue their shopping journey across channels, exploring individual needs, and providing hands‑on demonstrations of technology. Side‑by‑side selling finds personalized solutions beyond basic plans.
- Use digital tools consistently during interactions and onboarding to demonstrate coverage, explain plans, complete training on in‑store experience and processes, and stay informed about product innovations.
- Partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels to own the customer experience, resolve issues, hand off small‑business leads, support team initiatives, and create an inclusive environment.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required)
Skills and Abilities
- Passionate customer advocate, authentic and engaging (Required)
- Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment (Required)
- Willingness to work with peers and store leaders, sharing ideas and solving issues (Required)
- Effective at balancing customer needs with performance goals (Required)
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

PayHourly Base Pay: $19.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days employees are eligible for training pay. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert provides an annual incentive target of approximately $18,000 per year. Full‑time employees are guaranteed a minimum of $20 per hour including base pay and incentives. Employees are also eligible for an annual stock grant.
