Coordinator, Adult Day Services
Location & HoursGlendora, Full‑time Monday–Friday 7:30am–3:30pm.
CompensationHourly starting pay rate: $24.00. CPR/First Aid certification provided.

Responsible for day‑to‑day activities that support the delivery of high quality, person‑centered, outcome‑based day services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Assists with the coordination of intake process and assessments, planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities in alignment with individuals’ personal plan and within the scope of the service design. Supports service compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Essential Functions- Coordinates service delivery, including intake, assessments, scheduling, and assignment.
- Monitors effective service delivery and oversees data collection, organization, and storage of documentation.
- Creates and maintains reports as directed.
- Promotes and supports adherence to person‑centered standards and service culture.
- Works with service line directors, managers, associates, and consultants to deliver high‑quality services and ensure compliance with licensing agencies and regulations.
- Monitors training needs of service line associates and coordinates training delivery.
- Attends in‑service trainings and meetings as required.
- Substitutes for direct service associates as needed.
- Follows procedures, standards, guidelines, and best practices; ensures health and safety of individuals and staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of work‑related experience in Human Services, Adult Day Center/Services, or similar field.
Or combination of education, experience, and training sufficient to perform the job successfully.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of person‑centered programming and service approach.
- Active listening, patience and empathy in communicating with individuals who use service.
- Creativity, flexibility, problem‑solving, organization, and timely completion of tasks.
- Ability to follow directions, take initiative and work effectively with team members and volunteers.
- Maintain positive work relationships with associates, stakeholders, referral agencies, community contacts, caregivers and the public.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Sound judgment, discretion and handling of sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Provide assistance with personal care, including transferring individuals with no weight‑bearing skills.
- Conflict resolution and ability to remain calm in stressful environments.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs., walk, stoop, stand, kneel, push wheelchairs, and perform tasks in outdoor environments.
- Travel locally with individuals for activities and travel throughout Southern California to multiple ESSC sites.
- Obtain and maintain criminal record/fingerprint clearance, required vaccinations or titer, and pass drug testing.
- Pass post‑offer medical examination and tuberculosis test.
As described in ADA requirements: carrying/lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent standing/sitting/walking, repetitive motion, bending/twisting, pushing wheelchairs, exposure to environmental hazards.
