Physical requirements:
Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift carry, push, and/or pull to moderate amounts of weight; operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and verbally communicate to exchange information.
Certification:
Possession of a valid Class D driver's license, OLETS Jail certification, CPR, and First-aid are required.
Job Summary:
The Dispatcher/Jailer is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the Jail facility. The Dispatcher/Jailer operates the 911 system, assigns law enforcement and other emergency services providers to calls for service, and communicates important public safety information to emergency responders and the public.
