Position Title: ISP Staff
Reports to: Site Principal

Calendar: 9 month
Summary: Instructs student in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women by completing their public education experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides instructional support for district approved curriculum
- Creates a learning environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of assigned work and establishes clear expectations for all students
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress updates as required
- Keeps appropriate records and prepares progress and enrollment reports
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and performance
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations
- Works well with both supervisors and other members of the team
- Maintains consistent and punctual attendance
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator

Education and/or ExperienceHS Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsNone required, Oklahoma Teaching certificate, preferred.

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and staff; ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form; ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and policies.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
The noise level in this environment is quiet to moderate depending upon the activity in the particular part of the day and location.
