SummaryUnder general supervision, assists in the daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant.
General DutiesUnder direction of Wastewater Plant Operator Superintendent, this position assists in the daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant, life stations, and sludge disposal in compliance with established procedures, standards, and federal, state and local laws and ordinances. This includes the inspection and/or monitoring of pumps, charts, gauges, wells, tanks and meters daily; application and adjustment of chemicals in accordance with prescribed standards;
collection (or assists in the collection) of plant samples, including delivery of samples and lab testing; preparation and maintenance of accurate reports/records; perform equipment servicing requirements to including preventive maintenance and repairs; inventory management; site and property maintenance. Perform other related duties as assigned.
High School diploma/GED Preferred
CertificationMust have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, along with the following certifications and qualifications.
- Operator 1: DEQ D Water and Wastewater license and OSHA 10 certification within 12 months of hire date.
- Operator 2: DEQ D Water license at time of hire; and C Wastewater (or C Wastewater Lab) license and OSHA 10 certification within 6 months of hire date.
- Operator 3: DEQ D Water license at time of hire; and B Wastewater (or C Wastewater Lab) license and OSHA 10 certification within 6 months of hire date.
Must be able to respond to calls in emergency situations at any time.
