Temp - Registered Nurse; RN - Admissions Pre-Op; Glens Falls NY

Position: Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Admissions Pre-Op (Days) Glens Falls NY
RN for the Pre-Op Block area. Will be admitting, assisting with block and monitoring post block.

Duties Include:

• Initiate admission assessments on new Residents / hospital returns & initiates initial care plan.
• Assist with the development & direction of the Nursing Department as directed by the DON.
• Review PRI's & coordinate all components of the admission process with the interdisciplinary team.
• Responsible for auditing records to ascertain compliance with facility standards.
• Will participate in discharge planning when necessary.
• Review & evaluate Residents' care plans when conditions warrant a change as necessary.
• Perform required charting according to policy / procedure.
• Complete MDS, care plans and other documents as assigned.
• Maintain the confidentially of all Resident information as per HIPAA and Corporate guidelines.
• May be assigned to supervise or direct Resident care as necessary.

As of 1/1/2024 - ALL new AND returning agency staff must have completed training from one of following groups for onboarding and clearance. Welle - (Verbal De-escalation bundle training required) OR CPI -

• COVID vaccinations encouraged, but not required.

Requirement description :

• 2+ years Preop/ AM Admit experience - Required
• Proficiency with IV Starts - Required
• Previous travel - Required
• EPIC Experience - Required
• Experience with conscious sedation and Preprocedural experience (admissions) and blocks - Required
• PALS - Preferred

• Work History
• Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
• 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
• License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (Current NY License, ACLS, BLS, PERM ADDRESS - Facility will not pend license/certs)
