Behavioral Technician

River Academy of Excellence is a private academic school, providing services to students in grades K-8. We are committed to providing innovative, individualized, and empowering education to meet the unique needs of each and every student.

Your role will be to provide quality therapeutic services in the small private school setting (6-12 students). The paraprofessional will be providing 1:1 educational support to students.

As a member of our River Academy of Excellence team, you will work with other therapeutic staff, teachers, family members, school district personnel, and report to our administration staff.

• Provide daily behavioral therapy services to those students identified as requiring services.
• Complete daily documentation.
• Maintain communication with families and staff for the betterment of each student.
• Hold regular meetings with administration staff to discuss caseloads, answer questions, and promote overall employment success.
• Promote a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment for students and families.

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

• BCBA or RBT credentials, or a paraprofessional with experience working in a school setting.
• Licensed or certified in behavior in Pennsylvania.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviors.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional and positive work ethic.
• Passion for the field of school‑based behavioral therapy services.
