Overview
Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in Glenshaw, PA. This is a full-time position offering $17.00 per hour. Schedule determined at interview with full-time coverage Monday–Friday. Frequent walking/standing may be required; moderate technological usage is expected. Uniforms and equipment are provided at no cost. Excellent benefits and career progression. Paid training.
PositionSecurity Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare, education, finance, and other industries. Use our exclusive shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability, enabling a flexible schedule while gaining site experience across various industries. May be required to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
Responsibilities- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
- Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or contact police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized entry
- Warn violators of rules and ensure compliance with post orders
- Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
- Observe and protect company property; ensure authorized removal is conducted per client requirements
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required
- Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Licensing requirements as required by state/local laws
- Valid driver's license if driving company or customer-owned vehicle
- Background check and drug screen as allowed by law
- Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed, per state requirements)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and monitors
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with the public
- Problem-solving, active listening, and situational assessment skills
- Teamwork and attention to detail
- Ability to speak/read/write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
