** Glenview, IL  Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America (AKBA) is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support the design, development, testing, and qualification of specialized equipment used in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.  
** What You'll Do:
*** Assist in the design, development, and assembly of custom manufacturing equipment.
* Support equipment testing, commissioning, validation, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
* Create and review technical drawings, specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.
* Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and customers throughout project execution.
* Research new technologies and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
* Gain hands-on experience with equipment used in chromatography, virus filtration, and other biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

* What We're Looking For:

*** Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
* Interest in equipment design, manufacturing, and engineering processes.
* Ability to work onsite in Glenview, IL.
* A collaborative, self-motivated attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.

** The base compensation range for this role is $18-20/hour. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
